Welcome to “The Birth Homie” Doula Services My name is Doula Crys, “The Home Girl Doula” Founder, and CEO. I am a certified Doula and trained Midwife assistant. Originating from Cleveland, Ohio, I’ve been doing doula work my entire life within my family and friends, now I’m branching out to my service my community! My specialties include (but are not limited to) Divine Intimacy, Birth, and Postpartum care. Here at The Birth Homie, we provide a full spectrum of services specializing in the holistic approach. All practices are tailored to your custom wants and needs according to ancestral divinity and alignment sprinkled with a lil bit of around the way girl charm. NO CODE SWITCH HERE! Lactation Support (Neighborhood Family Practice)

Program Description:
Appointment and billed to insurance. We have three CLC individuals that can help assist with your infant feeding needs. You do not need to have a baby with us in order to see us for lactation care. We address infant weight concerns, pain related to breastfeeding, low supply and more. We are happy to see you from birth and beyond.

Program Requirements:
Needs either an appointment or insurance. If an individual doesn’t have insurance, it is recommended that they go see our Financial Assistance department and schedule an appointment to see how their individual needs can be met. Call 216-281-0872 for all appointments.

Hours of Operation:
Normal business hours for Ann B. Reichman Community Health Center – Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm. Tuesday 8:30 – 8:00pm. Lactation Support – Call 216-281-0872 to make an appointment.

Breastfeeding Basics 101 (Neighborhood Family Practice)

Program Description:
(appointment needed & billed to insurance) – 2 hour long educational class in a group setting. You will learn the importance of breastfeeding, how to latch, proper positioning, how to know if the baby is getting enough milk and more. This class is taught every other month by a Certified Lactation Consultant. This is a great opportunity to ask any question you may have and build community.

Pump Education (Neighborhood Family Practice)

Program Description:
A 40 min appointment in an exam room at our ABR location. Education is provided by a certified lactation consultant to learn about how to use your breast pump. Bring the pump you plan on using and any questions you may have to the appointment. Interpreter Services available if needed. Appointment available for prenatal and postpartum patients. Every Third Thursday of the month.

24-Hour Breastfeeding Hotline

Program Description:
24-Hour Breastfeeding Hotline (available to anyone) – a parent or interested person may call the line during operating hours to speak with a live breastfeeding specialist (CLC, CLS, or IBCLC required). All hotline staff is trained on providing telephone support and is a line for supporting and referring, therefore able to provide lactation support to all of Appalachia through telephone when otherwise may be unavailable – closing the gap in health inequity for breastfeeding support.

24 Hours, 7 day a week, 365 days a year (including holidays)
