Event + Conference Sponsorships

First Year Cleveland is committed to supporting community-based organizations to raise funds and awareness and to celebrate milestones. First Year Cleveland offers fundraising + friend-raising events and conference sponsorships of up to $2,500 to eligible, local non-profit organizations committed to maternal/child health and reducing infant mortality in Cuyahoga County. 

Bi-Annual Mini-Grants

FYC anticipates making approximately 10-15 awards in the range of $2,500 to $5,000 each March and September. Funds will be invested in community nonprofit organizations in Cuyahoga County with preference given to programs and services serving zip codes with the highest Black infant mortality rates. Funding is intended to support the immediate needs of pregnant and parenting families. Applications open on February 1st and August 1st.

Requests for Proposals

Requests for Proposals Open April 15 – June 1
Organizations that are aligned with FYC’s mission and seeking to build capacity and better serve pregnant/parenting families are invited to submit funding proposals of up to $50,000. Applicants are encouraged to consider creative, collaborative, one-time investments, and funding should be utilized by December 31, 2024. These grants cannot be used for events. FYC anticipates awarding up to 6 grants this cycle.

Application materials will be available April 15; applications are due June 1.
Email firstyearcleveland@case.edu to request an application package. Note that funded grantee organizations will receive 50% of the total grant upfront; the remainder will be reimbursed based on expense submissions.
