Program Description:
Independence Place & NIA (Nurturing Independence and Aspirations) gives specialized, participant-centered supportive services and case management for current and past participants of YWCA’s programs. This includes a 23-unit temporary supportive housing program for young adults ages 18-24 who have experienced homelessness & other challenges. Many have aged out of foster care.

Starting Point’s Parent & Youth Ambassadors (PYAs) are here to help families across Ohio connect with essential services, benefits, and resources. PYAs are trusted guides who provide free, personalized support to families with children and youth from birth to 21 years old, offering assistance in ways that best fit each family’s needs. Whether you need help finding child care, housing assistance, food programs, or other services, our PYAs are ready to walk alongside you.

Program Description:
Early Learning Center (ELC) – Our Gold Star rated, two-generational model meets the needs of families with young children ages 3-5 who have experienced homelessness or other significant challenges. We focus on the social/emotional needs of our students and their families. The ELC is proudly the only program of its kind in the state of Ohio. Transportation and financial assistance might be available.
Program Requirements:
Age- 3-5 years old, birth certificate or social security card for child (we will assist in obtaining, if needed), photo ID and social security card for parent/guardian, proof of income, if any (we will assist in obtaining, if needed); We accept vouchers, private pay, Kinship Care. We have limited resources for free/grant seats, supporting families experiencing homelessness in obtaining emergency vouchers for childcare.
